Vegan Cashew Curd (Dahi)

Vegans, here is your own dahi (Curd). With the sourness of curd, flavour of cashews it is a perfect dish to stay away from dairy.

Suits those following Keto diet as well.



1/2 pounds Cashews

1 tsp lemon juice

Starter culture (old stock of cashew curd) / 3 capsules of probiotic (17 Billion cells)

Soak cashews overnight....


Drain and blend them adding lemon juice and little water. Blend to creamy and smooth mixture.


Add starter culture or open the capsules and put the probiotic powder and blend again.

Now pour the mixture in bowl and cover with muslin cloth and keep in kitchen cabinet for at least 12 hours....check if it is can make out from the smell....if you want to make in winter....use little warm water bowl down the batter bowl and let it set for 12 hours.

Very easy and perfect for the vegans....
